I found this on Pinterest the other day. I read them to N...and the challenge is on!

By the end of this year we want to accomplish all 20 of these.
There will be documentation.

Ready, GO!

Viva la Vida Buena

After a very full weekend of "juicy" teaching by Tim Ross at GN church in Anthem at the Family Camp Conference, we headed out to Rocky Point Mexico for a week of family, beach, and good spicy food.

Here are a few of the many adventures we had here...

The "kids"

Ceviche and Oysters

Stare-down with the slimy oyster...Come'on Kalani hot sauce makes it better we promise!

Clamming for dinner!

We ate so well (as always) down there. I'm just about ready to move to Mexico because I could eat the food there everyday for the rest of my life...seriously... it rocks! Not to mention the beach and the weather.

These clams [that I forgot to take a picture of] fed over 20 of us for 2 meals. And we all stuffed our faces. Just add garlic, wine, butter, and Pato chile sauce and pour it over some pasta...best EVER!

Eat and float was pretty much all we did.

Besides the clams we ate a lot of tacos....and about a TON of mangos! We bought out the beach mango man every day by noon. He literally ran out of mangos because of us!

Of course we did a little shopping too! Because when people bring a mall's worth of stuff to you as you lay on the beach how can you not! I mean who doesn't need 5 lawn "tortugas" or giant sombreros!

While we were there we celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday day...Mexico style! Happy 20th B! So happy you were born and so excited to see what God has for you this year and this next decade!

So now we are back home a few shades darker, a bit more relaxed, with a new hat and backpack, more sunglasses than we probably need [the were "almost FREE! happy hour ALL day!"], and wishing we were back on the beach drinking up the sun and some tequila.

Viva la Vida Buena!

Happy Father's Day

to my wonderful Daddy!

Thank you for giving me your sense of humor, sharing your love for british and science fiction films, spending the time to learn to paint our nails and braid our hair, taking us on adventures, and giving us girls the love that we need. You've taught me how to bake bread and fix all things with blue tarps and duct tape.

Thank you for all you do and for being a wonderful daddy!

Cheers.

Hello [insert nametag]

New name and look for the blog to give it a little update since it's not just all about me now.
Because we all know it was before right??? Right...
So...
Welcome to:
 Eat. Live. Play.

I promise I will talk about the same stuff and post photos [hopefully more regularly]. I'm sure even though I'm doing this to "focus" the blog a bit more, it will be just as random most of the time.

I just needed to switch it up a bit for inspiration.
It's like when I go through my closet [fully intending on chucking 3/4 of the stuff I've had since who knows when, but then somehow only 3 things make it to the goodwill pile and another 5 go into the "sewlatertoconverttoanewcooltopIsawonPINTERST] to make room for all of the newer cuter stuff that's not from highschool/I've already worn in a million different ways that I intend to buy...

It'll be just like that. I promise... intention#1. Write at least one post about each title word per week, intention#2. Bring camera everywhere so I can post new photos with the posts, intention#3. Do intentions 1&2.
See? Same thing.
Until next time.

Cheers.

a year

One year ago this happened. I had the pleasure of marrying the most wonderful man on a day that was overflowing with family, friends, and joy. Thank you my love for this amazing first year of what I am sure will be many others even better.
Here's to adventuring, laughing, bicycles, broken down cars, chocolate chip cookies, frisbee, and learning how to be one flesh!
Cheers my love!

Welcome Home

to the Little Colorful Studio.

That's its name right now. Maybe we should have a contest to name it? Winner gets a batch of N's wonderfully delicious chocolate chip cookies!!!!

Yes my husband makes better chocolate chip cookies than me.
And anyone else I know.

In fact I've given up making chocolate chip cookies since I married N. There is no competition. His cookies are just THAT GOOD.
I used to have my recipe memorized but now its lost in the far reaches of my brain. The same place all those anatomy facts went whenever I had to take a test back when I was in school.

So here is our little studio. Isn't she cute! [its a she I guess... I just decided that as I was typing. Are apartments like cars where they are always female?]
Anyways, it came together pretty quick and turned out really amazing. Its such a happy little place.
We love it!

Do you like the super-cool-bike-rack-thingy that N put up? He's quite proud of it.
It may sound crazy but there are only 2 of our bikes...we have 2 more hanging in our porch storage closet. Overboard? Maybe but hey when you live in Flag you need one for the mountains/commuting and one for the road. [I think ideally N would have 3. One for each of those activities.]

And though I have given up on chocolate chip cookies...I have not given up on baking. These were the Chocolate-Blackberry Scones I made the other day. Yum! Especially with the blackberry jam slathered on them. Recipe to come soon.

That's all for now.
Cheers.
